A Pretentious Superhero

When you caress my head and in sleep I pretend.
You were so happy in those times we spend.
When we have nothing but there’s something you bring,
Were the moments when I knew you will give everything.

You hide your pain and you smile like nothing happens.
You smile so sweetly, but you’re burning inside every day.
You are perfect outside, but I can tell what you are inside.
You’re vulnerable but you are such a good actor.

I could not fathom the love you carry,
In times of trouble, there’s always a way.
You make that possible 'cause that’s what you are.
You never give up even until you get a scar.

You may not have a robe to be called a hero,
But you defeated the difficult life as a foe.
You may not have glittering suit and armor,
But your love is enough, but you give a lot more.

My love for you may not compare to what you give,
But I will die for you if that’s what it takes.
I know you’re hurt, and I know you’re bruised,
Don’t hide it, try, and please cry.

Please know that your son feels you.
I would do anything to console you,
I will never turn my back on you,
Because I will always love you.

BROKEN  By: N.E.B.  Why does it hurt so much when I don’t own your stare?  Why does it hurt so much when your words aren’t mine to hear?  Why does it hurt so much when I am not the reason you laugh?  It hurts more when the love from you is something I can’t have.  I want you to look at me like you want no one else  walk with me slowly like a car with broken wheels.  Talk to me and I promise that I am all ears.  Love me and the same I do without fears.  Why does it hurt so much as you have not spoken a word?  You haven’t said anything and losing you, I can’t afford.  Because I know I will hear just a piercing news,  A bleeding separation that everyone knows.  It hursts so much that my world would break in two  That my life I planned with you is gone, too.  Let me know how I would mend this broken heart to see,  When I know that you were never been entirely honest with me.  Why does it hurt so much like that of a twisted bone?  Or even more that one could ever fathom?  It’s quite fitting

The Love of a Broken Heart By: Sir N.E.B. I remember the places we marked, With love and our times until dark. Those carved trunks with our names in it, Were the times when our fire was lit. I stayed and I waited ‘till dawn. You never came, you’ve never seen. The bundles of flowers I keep and bought. But ‘twas okay and so I thought. What happened to us is what I keep asking, Those memories I thought were strong. I never thought that this will happen all along. We even sang together our perfect song. We were happy like that of the morning sun. We talked all day and it was indeed fun. I gave you my heart, and it was never a rush. But with my heart in your hand you chose to crush.
